Training & Workshops

I offer training sessions to small groups of up to 10 individuals seeking creative opportunities to build on their skills and experience in working with children, whether this be in schools, as a charity worker, or to learn something new!

I love to incorporate creativity as a way to support the learning of the adults I am working with, whether this be the use of clay and arts & crafts, or the use of symbolism within small world miniatures. Because of this, I provide face-to-face training sessions within a venue that suits your needs, with a small group of like-minded adults that enable conversation, skill-sharing, and the chance to build connections with others in our field.

Topics I explore in training include:

The impact of trauma on children, and how to support children and families in the aftermath of traumatic experiences.

Understanding high sensitivity in children, and how to support a child when they are dysregulated.

Using creativity and meaningful play with children impacted by trauma.

Training packages are offered in the following forms, depending on the needs of your team or service:

2-hour workshop - face-to-face or online, depending on location and preference.

6-hour face-to-face training day.

2-day face-to-face training.

Therapeutic Consultancy

From September 2026, Little Oak Therapies will be offering a brand new Therapeutic Consultancy service to schools and charities to enhance the service provided to children and families in their care.

This is a great opportunity to build the service you really want, putting children and families at the heart of what you do. With my support, you will learn key skills in working with children impacted by trauma, develop programmes of support for the unique needs of the children you work with, and be able to provide a specialist service for parents to access themed workshops to help them understand their child and make necessary changes to support their children at home.
