'Using play and creativity as a tool for supporting children impacted by trauma' - Training Day for Professionals

£120.00

Tuesday 18th August 2026 at The Bright Hub, Renhold, Bedford - 9.30am-3.30pm

An experiential and creative training day exploring how trauma impacts children during their most vulnerable years, and how the use of play and creativity supports their healing as they grow. During this training day, we will explore this complex topic through our own play and creativity, ending the day full of ideas and inspiration to take into your own practice.

This training day is ideal for any practitioner working with children, particularly those in education, social care, or the charity sector, looking to dig a little deeper into what is happening for a child beneath the surface after experiencing trauma.

This training day will explore:

  • the meaning of trauma, specifically in relation to children.

  • the impact of trauma on a child’s brain development, and how this links to behaviours we may observe on the surface.

  • how we, as professionals, can best support children impacted by trauma and their families.

  • the power of play and creativity, and how we can incorporate this into our personal practice.

This training day is limited to 6 individuals seeking creative training opportunities. Tea, coffee and snacks are provided throughout the day, as well as a light lunch.

Any queries regarding the workshop can be sent via the contacts page before purchases are made.
